Charge Blade is one of the most superior weapons that was recently introduced in the Monster Hunter Now. The weapon allows the player–hunter to charge the weapon, transform it into the axe, and unleash huge damage. Just like other weapons it has unique powers and is more and less effective against different monsters. In this article, I will give you some options to go choose from when it comes to Charge Blade armor builds. How to create good Charge Blade armor builds?
To create a powerful armor set to boost your Charge Blade, you must include armor parts that increase attack. The best option for that is the Attack Boost skill that can be found in Leather Mail, Rathalos Helm and Vambraces, and Banbaro Coil. Burst skill will give you an attack power increase for 4 seconds when you manage to land a few hits in a row. Rathian Vambraces and Coil, Zinogre Helm and Graves armor parts have this powerful skill. The Quick Work skill is also an important skill to think about. This unique skill speeds up the Charge Blade transformation and could save you from getting hit. It can be found only in Odogaron Helm and Vanbraces.
When you are trying to stun the monster, the best option is to break some parts. To be able to do that we will need to concentrate our hits in one spot. The Lock On skill gives you exactly that. it provides focus on selected monster body parts and it can be found on Kulu Headpiece, Rathian Vambraces and Diablos Nero Coil. The best combo skill that goes glued with Lock On is Partbreaker. This skill increases accumulated damage on breakable monster parts. Since this is one of the power skills it can be found in Diablos armors part: Vambraces, Coil, Graves, and Nero Helm (Black Diablos) and in one Banbaro piece: Banbaro Mail. The Partbreaker skill is also activated in Thanatos Force Charge Blade at grade 8.
Armor sets based on Power Element Phial type will require you to get a part that boosts element attack. For Water Element that are Jagras Vambraces and Greaves, and Jyura Mail and Vambraces. Fire Attack skills are on Anja Helm and Vambraces, Rathalos Helm and Coil, and Rath Soul Mail and Graves. Thunder Attack skill is embedded in the Kidachi Mail and Coil, Zinogre Vambraces and Graves, and Tzitzi Headgear. Ice Element builds include Legiana Helm and Coil, and Barioth Mail and Vambraces.
Impact Phial type Charge Blade
There are currently seven Impact Phial type Charge Blades. Most of them are raw Charge Blades, which means that they don’t have any elemental attribution. They are also referred to as raw because of the huge raw power they possess. It is important to note that Amped Elemental Discharge and Super Amped Elemental Discharge, two power attacks Charge Blade has, are not affected by affinity. This information is of great importance since one of the most powerful Charge Blades has a negative affinity.
Creating the offensive Charge Blade build usually includes Rathalos Helm, Leather Mail, Rathian Vambraces, Banbaro Coil and Kulu Greaves. This Build is concentrated on creating a high attack boost, with the Lock On ability. Since affinity doesn’t play a high role in the offensive Charge Blade play style in Monster Hunter Now, I prefer to use Diablos Greaves. They will give you Partbreaker skills to easier break monster parts.
Power Element Phial type Charge Blade
Power Element Phial type Charge Blades are equally represented in Monster Hunter Now. Using an adequate element weapon is crucial when using Power Element blades. Raw damage of this kind of blade is usually half of the Impact Phial Charge Blades. This is why you must always watch the monster’s weak elements. The total power of the Power Element Phial Charge Blades is calculated by combining the blade’s raw power and elemental power.
Water Element Build
Water Element Charge Blade build includes Odogaron Helm, Jyura Mail and Vambraces, Bambaro Coil and Jagras Greaves. This set is formed to boost the Water Attack skill. My personal uptake to this build is Odogaron Helm in order to speed up the transition to Axe mode and provide more place and time to dodge.
Fire Element Build
Fire Element Charge Blade Build is usually focused on increase of Fire Attack skills. The most powerful armor set and build contains Anja Helm and Vambraces, Rathalos Coil, Rath Soul Male and Graves. All of these armor pieces contain Fire Attack skills. I personally prefer to use Rathalos Helm over Anja Helm, because it gives Attack Boost skills also besides the Fire Attack skills.
Thunder Element Build
Thunder Element Charge Blade Armor set is based on the Thunder Attack skill and is combined with the Evade Extender skill. This means that you should try to perfect your evasion skills. The set contains Tzitzi Headgear, Zinogre Vambraces and Greaves, and Kidachi Mail and Coil. It can also be combined with Kulu Headpiece to get Lock On skill.
Ice Element Charge Build
Ice Element Charge Blade set like other element sets concentrates on Ice Attack skill. The Ice armor set has Legiana Helm and Coil, Barioth Mail and Vambraces. You can also add some headpieces and greaves with Attack Increase or Lock On. I usually use Odogaron Helm to speed up the transformation rate.
